Biria EZ Boarder Bicycle

If you want the exercise and sight seeing experience that only bicycling can give - but want the comfort and easy on and off of a golf cart this is the bicycle for you. There is no need to step over any more than a 6 inch frame bar to get on the bicycle. It comes in either aluminum for light weight or in steel for economy, The model shown above is aluminum. The colors are either the blue and silver shown above or the classic stately gloss black that has been a standard for bicycles that are made to serve the owner's transportation needs rather than play. The Biria easy boarding bicycle is made in Germany and it is made to last.

It may last a lifetime, but you won't feel like you are stuck with this bicycle. It comes with almost all the standard equipment that is not standard on most bicycles today. Fenders, dynamo (generator) powered lights front and rear, a rear luggage rack, a pump that is clipped to the rear luggage rack, chainguard, and a kickstand are standard included in the approximately $599.99 suggested retail price. Only a rearview mirror need be added.

The generation that grew up riding a European lightweight bicycle with an internal hub gear is getting older. Some of those old classic bicycles are just too hard to ride because of a high step-over to get on the bicycle. The Biria EZ Boarder has solved the problem with style, class, and quality. Just about anyone who can ride a bicycle, once on one, should be able to ride one of these bicycles that have only a 6 inch step-over height.

This is not a novelty bicycle but a very useful and comfortable to ride bicycle. There are 7 gears in this particular one and it rides quite a bit like the roadsters and sportsters featured on these pages. What is different is that they are much lighter, components are up to date so that  maintenance, (though little is required), is easy, and the 7 gear hub gives you the overall gear range of many 21 speed bicycles in a much simpler shifting design. Easier shifting along with the upright riding position makes these bicycles much easier to ride, and that makes them safer and more enjoyable whether on a quiet rail-trail or on busy streets.

Other Biria Bicycle Styles

Biria is a very well established bicycle company in Germany and this is not by any means their only model. As has become the style in European bicycles for transportation, recreation, and sightseeing, most of the Biria models are what they call U-frame. They have a higher step over than the EZ Boarding model but not as high as the diamond frame.
